2018: Wonders of Water - J. Elizabeth Clark / Liz Summit

Pakistan: Cascading Domes and Slender Minarets by Clair Won Kang

Prior to this year's flower show, I have often thought about floral design as whimsy and imagination, something I look foward to as winter comes to a close.

I've never thought of it as political. So, this display, "The World's Water," bringing attention to the world's drinking water caught me by surprise.

This series of displays by the American Institute of Floral Designers was evocative, political, thought-provoking, and intellectual. It was my favorite part of this year's show.
